The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team played at home on Thursday night against Eastern, losing in straight sets 3-0. The Chargers drop to 2-3 overall while the Eagles improve to 4-0 on the season.

How it Happened:
The Chargers led by two points early as junior
Eden Belford got a kill and sophomore
Kaitlyn Weitzel landed a service ace. Eastern began to creep ahead as they scored in bunches and got out to a 17-13 advantage. Senior
Riley Dodrer had a block and a kill to keep the Chargers close, but Eastern closed out set one 25-21.

Juniors
Lea Sareyka and
Jessica Fletcher got kills early in set two, but a 7-1 run from the Eagles helped them grab a 9-4 lead. It was all Eastern throughout the set as they led by as many as eight points before closing the set on a five-point run, easily taking the set 25-13.

After a 3-0 lead by Eastern, the Chargers grabbed momentum with five straight points including a service ace by Dodrer to take a 9-6 lead in the third set. Eastern responded with a 9-1 surge, getting three kills and an ace to reach a 15-10 lead. Back-to-back kills by Belford highlighted the late action, but the Eagles won the final set 25-17 to close out the Chargers at home.

Information to Know:
The Chargers are now 0-4 all-time against Eastern with every matchup coming in the last five years. This was the Chargers' first time being swept this season and their first 3-0 defeat at home since September 24 of last season.
