The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team played at home on Wednesday night as they hosted Penn College in conference play, falling by a score of 63-44. The Chargers drop to 7-13 overall and 5-3 in the United East while the Wildcats improve to 14-5 overall and 6-1 in the United East.

How it Happened:
Shania Stoltzfus (So.) started LBC with a pair of free throws, then
Isabella Eufemia (Jr.) got a layup to go as the Wildcats led 12-4 halfway through the quarter.
Emily Wilson (Fr.) had the final five points of the quarter for the Chargers as she made a jumper and knocked down a three, with the Wildcats taking a 20-12 lead into the second.

The Chargers got within six points as Eufemia found Stoltzfus for a layup, but Penn College got the lead back to ten as
Rachel Nolt (Jr.) matched with a jumper. Stoltzfus had two more buckets to get it back to six, then Eufemia did the same on a pair of free throws with less than three minutes left. The Wildcats one more to go as the teams each scored 10 in the second for an eight-point deficit at halftime.

After the Chargers went over two minutes without a score in the third, Eufemia got two fast-break layups to cut the lead down to six again, then Wilson later hit an open three to get it back to seven points at 36-29. The Wildcats then went on a 12-2 run to open up the lead, with Wilson knocking down a three to make it a 14-point game heading into the final quarter.

Penn College took over as they scored five to open up the fourth and held LBC off the board for the first three minutes, ending the drought on a layup by
Emma Christner (Fr.). Wilson and
Raven Hunter (Sr.) added points down the stretch, but the Wildcats remained in control as they closed out a 19-point win over the Chargers on the road.

The Chargers are now 17-4 all-time against Penn College but have split the last six meetings with the Wildcats 3-3 since 2023. The Chargers have dropped three straight conference games after starting 5-0, still with five United East matchups remaining this season.
