The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team returned home on Wednesday night for a United East matchup with Penn St. Abington, running away with a 101-70 victory and securing their spot in the United East Playoffs. The Chargers improve to 16-4 overall and 8-0 in the United East while the Lions drop to 3-17 overall and 3-5 in the United East.
 
How it Happened:
The Chargers started out with a 5-0 lead as Connor Storr (Jr.) opened it up with a layup and Nile Austin (Sr.) knocked down a 3-pointer off a turnover. The Chargers then went scoreless over the next four minutes as Penn St. Abington went on a 12-0 scoring run to take a seven-point lead. Mark Heidebrecht (Sr.) ended the run with a bucket, then Tyshaun Pulley (Sr.) scored the next four for LBC as Abington took a timeout, then Camden Hurst (Jr.) drove to the hoop for a score to pull the Chargers within one. The Lions quickly got back up by seven, but a few minutes later Trey Grube (Jr.) scored eight in a row by himself with two made threes to swing LBC back in front 25-23. The Lions then took the lead back before Jacob Lewis (Fr.) hit a corner three to swing the Chargers back in front. Hurst later knocked down a three to give the Chargers a nine-point lead, then Grube hit a three and Hurst closed the half with a driving floater to give LBC a 43-33 advantage at halftime.
 
Bennett Bowers (So.) started the second half with a fast-break layup, then Penn St. Abington got the deficit down to six several times before two quick threes from Austin and Bowers pushed it back to 12. Grube then hit another three, then Pulley hit another jumper as LBC led 64-47 less than six minutes into the half. Hurst then had an and-one layup for the three-point play, then Daniel King (Jr.) scored 10 points in a two-minute span as the lead got pushed to 30 points for the Chargers. Lewis added a few more scores later in the half and Reaves Hooks (Sr.) drove for a score, then another Grube 3-pointer kept the lead around 30 points. Buckets by Doug Adiok (So.) and Landon Zeiset (Fr.) closed out the big 101-70 win as the Chargers locked up their spot in the postseason with five games to play.
 
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers shot 59-percent from the floor, 52-percent from 3-point range, and shot 67-percent from the free throw line
- The Lions shot 42-percent from the floor, 40-percent from three, and 67-percent on free throws
- Trey Grube led the Chargers with a team-high 17 points off the bench with a career-high five made 3-pointers
- Daniel King had 16 points on 7-9 from the field with five rebounds and three steals
- Tyshaun Pulley had 12 points and six rebounds
- The Lions were led by Mike Byfield with a game-high 18 points

The Chargers are now 22-8 all-time against Penn St. Abington since 2006 and have won 10 straight matchups over the Lions. The Chargers have clinched their spot in the 2026 United East Playoffs beginning February 18, locking it up with their win over the Lions and Keystone's loss to Penn St. Berks tonight. The Chargers are 8-0 in conference and 8-0 at home for the first time since the 2015-16 season. Camden Hurst surpassed 900 career points tonight with 11 and leads all active scorers across the men's and women's programs.
