The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team is poised to defend their United East title heading into 2026 under 13th-year head coach
Jade Brubaker (193-137), seeing 26 games on their schedule with eight United East conference games for the season before postseason play begins. LBC currently has seven games against teams in the AVCA Preseason Poll with four games against teams ranked in the preseason top-20. The Chargers are coming off a 23-8 season in 2025 with an undefeated 8-0 conference record, securing their third consecutive conference championship as they won the United East title before falling to #8 Messiah in four sets in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. The postseason will feature six teams as the Chargers look to stand out in the nine-team field this year and defend their three straight conference titles once again. Lancaster Bible was voted to finish first in the United East Preseason Poll with all but one first-place vote, with Wilson, Neumann, Cairn, and Saint Elizabeth rounding out the top-five.
The Chargers have a strong pool of returning players for 2026 with five total All-Conference players from last season two players who earned national recognition.
Tyler Martin (Sr.) commanded the Chargers' offense last season with 595 assists, earning First Team honors and leading the United East in assists per set in conference play at 10.70. Also leading the Chargers will be
Jaiden Flanagan (Jr.), coming off a season with 156 kills on a .263 hitting percentage with 33 service aces and 69 total blocks for a Second Team All-Conference selection. Flanagan earned NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team honors after seven kills and five blocks against Messiah. The Chargers also have three returning Third Team All-Conference players in
Kevin Bryant (Jr.),
Carson Hoover (Jr.), and
Nicholas Marion (Sr.), with Bryant being selected as the program's first NCCAA All-American last season and Marion leading the Chargers in digs with 222.
Lancaster Bible opens their season this Friday, January 9 at 7:00 p.m. on the road against Roanoke, then opens their home slate on Thursday, January 15 in the Horst Athletic Center against (RV) Marymount (Va.) at 7:00 p.m. After another home match against Wilkes the following Tuesday, the Chargers play last year's national champions in #4 Southern Virginia on Saturday, January 24 as well as Bridgewater (Va.) the Chargers close January at home in a tri-match against both Elizabethtown and Widener, then host #5 Messiah on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:00 p.m. After three straight road matches, the Chargers host (RV) Randolph-Macon on Saturday, February 14, then after hosting Kean they open United East play at home against Cairn on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. Then they host Eastern, #4 Southern Virginia again, and Wilson in conference play to round out a six-game homestand, then play (RV) Rutgers-Newark on the road on Thursday, March 5. Then it's Saint Elizabeth on the road before three straight home conference games, with Valley Forge, new conference member Immaculata, and Gallaudet on March 17, 21, and 25. The Chargers end the regular season with three straight road games, taking on preseason #20 Misericordia in non-conference play before ending with matches at Neumann and Pratt Institute as the regular season ends on Tuesday, March 31. The First Round of the postseason kicks off on Thursday, April 2, then the Semifinals will be played on Wednesday, April 8 before the United East Championship game set for Saturday, Aprill 11.
