LANCASTER, Pa. — Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball senior Jordan Yoder has been recognized as a United East Conference Senior Scholar Athlete for the 2025 spring season. The award is given to graduating student-athletes who exemplify excellence in athletics, academics, and community engagement.
Though Yoder spent just two seasons with the Chargers, he left a lasting legacy. A versatile six-rotation player from Winfield, Pa., Yoder played a critical role in leading the Chargers to back-to-back United East titles. Over his two years, he recorded 331 kills with a .209 hitting percentage, while also collecting 223 digs and 44 aces. His performance earned him a spot on the All-Conference First Team in 2025, along with the Most Valuable Player honor at the United East Championship.
Off the court, Yoder proved equally impressive. He maintained a 3.56 GPA and was named a United East Scholar Athlete in both seasons of eligibility. His dedication to academics and athletics was matched by his commitment to service. Yoder worked closely with Building Bridges, a nonprofit supporting veterans and their mental health. In addition, he organized and hosted the annual "Heat for Haiti" volleyball tournament, which has been running for seven years and featured over 60 teams in 2024. The event raises funds for missionary organizations in Haiti.
"Jordan has impacted our team significantly in his time here," said Jade Brubaker, Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Lancaster Bible College. "From his dedication to his craft on the court to the relationships he has with the team, he has set a great example of discipline, character, and Godly leadership. Thank you, Jordan, for your investment in my life and the lives of your teammates."
Yoder's recognition as a Senior Scholar Athlete places him among a select group of ten student-athletes honored across the United East's member institutions this spring. His accomplishments reflect the very best of what it means to be a student-athlete at Lancaster Bible College.
