Seven Chargers Earn All-Conference Recognition

The United East Conference announced their All-Conference and Major Award winners for the 2025 Men's Volleyball season, with Lancaster Bible College making a huge splash in the announcement with a record seven total All-Conference selections. First Team selections included sophomore Jordan Yoder, senior Dawson Forney, and junior Tyler Martin, sophomore Jaiden Flanagan earned Second Team honors, while sophomores Carson Hoover and Kevin Bryant and junior Nicholas Marion earned Third Team honors.

Yoder led the offense this season for the Chargers with a team-best 276 kills, the fourth-best mark in the conference and the ninth-most by a Charger in a single season in program history. He finished with the third-most digs on the team with 197 and landed a team-high 41 service aces, leading the United East in conference aces per set at 0.70. This was Yoder's first All-Conference selection for his career and he was named the United East Tournament MVP after a combined 19 kills and 14 digs in the postseason to lead the Chargers to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.

Forney was another great asset for the Chargers as he finished with a career-best 271 kills in 2025, the second-most for Lancaster Bible and the fifth-most in the conference. Forney had 13 matches with double-digit kills and reached 15 kills four times, the most for the Chargers including a career-high 23 kills at home against #14 Misericordia on January 15. He compiled 117 digs and 31 service aces as well, adding 50 total blocks as both his ace and block totals were third on the team. Forney was named to the All-Conference First Team for the second straight year and earned his third overall conference honor in his career, also being named United East Offensive Player of the Week twice. Dawson ended his Chargers career among the program leaders with 938 total kills, 182 total blocks, and almost 2,200 career attacks.

Martin was versatile for the Chargers this season, beginning the year at libero then making the switch in mid-February to setter for the remainder of the year. Martin compiled 595 total assists on the season with 12 games of 30+ assists and a career-high 43 assists in a home win over Eastern on March 1. Tyler also finished second on the team with 206 total digs, reaching double-digits ten times and recording a career-high 19 on January 11 against Trine. In addition to earning United East First Team honors, Martin was named both conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week this season and was named to the FrogJump National Team of the Week on March 18.

Earning Second Team honors was Flanagan, taking a step up in his sophomore season as a middle with 156 kills on a team-best .263 hitting percentage. Jaiden finished second on the team with 69 total blocks and 33 service aces, landing at least three blocks in ten different matches including a career-high six blocks on January 18 in a home win over Roanoke. Flanagan knocked a career-high 17 kills against #14 Misericordia on January 15 and had four service aces against RV Rutgers-Newark on February 28. Jaiden was among the top-5 in the conference in both blocks and hitting percentage. He wrapped the season with a selection to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team after putting up seven kills and five blocks in the Chargers' match against #8 Messiah.

Hoover took a leap in the middle of the season as a prominent outside for the Chargers, finishing the year with 151 kills and nine games with double-digit kills. Hoover landed a career-high 15 kills against Marymount (Va.) on March 25 and had a season-high 12 digs in the United East Semifinal against Neumann on April 9. Carson finished third among qualified hitters in the conference in hitting percentage at .284 entering the NCAA Tournament and averaged almost three points per set. Hoover earned his first career All-Conference selection as a Third Team member and put up 22 kills and 19 digs during the United East Playoffs.

Joining him on the Third Team is Bryant, leading the Chargers with 75 total blocks and 58 block assists across 25 matches. Kevin entered the NCAA Tournament ranked 20th in all of NCAA Division III with 0.99 blocks per set, earning the top mark in the conference and adding 132 kills on a .425 hitting percentage. Bryant earned All-Conference honors for the second straight season as he earned a Second Team nod in 2024.

Marion was another Charger to adapt mid-season, switching from an outside to libero in February and anchoring the defense down the stretch. He finished the season leading the team with 222 total digs and 2.11 digs per set, both top-10 marks in the United East and seven matches with 10+ digs. Nicholas had a career-high 15 digs at Neumann on March 27 and put up 10 digs in both the Semifinal and Championship of the conference tournament. Marion also added 94 kills early on in the season including four matches with 10+ kills, knocking a season-high 15 versus Roanoke on January 18. This is his second straight All-Conference honor as he also earned Second Team recognition in 2024.

Major Award winners for the United East included Sam Poirier (Cairn) as Offensive Player of the Year, Christian DeMarco (Neumann) as Defensive Player of the Year, Jackson Wolfe (Wilson) as Rookie of the Year, and Wilson's Aaron Hoke being named Coach of the Year.
