The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team traveled to Media, Pa. to take on Penn St. Brandywine in United East action on Wednesday night, holding on to win 63-55. The Chargers improve to 6-10 overall and 4-0 in the United East while the Lions fall to 1-12 overall and 1-2 in the United East.

How it Happened:
Shania Stoltzfus (So.) began the scoring with a jumper, then the Lions powered ahead 8-2 early on. After several LBC scores, Stoltzfus pulled the Chargers back within one on a made 3-pointer, then
Rachel Nolt (Jr.) hit a three to put LBC in front 16-14.
Raven Hunter (Sr.) kept the run going with a layup, then Nolt knocked down another three to cap a 12-point Chargers run as they led 23-17 after one quarter of play.

After a slow first few minutes, the Lions pulled back within three points before Nolt hit another three to end the push. Hunter had the next six points for the Chargers as the defense held strong, holding the Lions to eight second-quarter points as the Chargers took a nine-point lead into halftime.

Isabella Eufemia (Jr.) started the scoring in the third quarter with a jump shot, then Penn St. Brandywine scored seven straight points before Nolt ended the run once again. Hunter added more points later in the quarter, then Nolt knocked down her fourth three of the game in the final minute as the Chargers led by a dozen at 49-37 heading into the final quarter.

The Chargers were scoreless through the first three minutes of the fourth before Eufemia hit a corner three to end the drought. The Lions fought back as they got within four points with less than a minute to go, but key free throw shooting down the stretch by
Emily Wilson (Fr.) and others helped secure the road win for the Chargers and keep them unblemished in United East play so far this season.

The Chargers are now 3-6 all-time against Penn St. Brandywine and have split the last six meetings with the Lions dating back to 2009. The Chargers' 4-0 United East start to the season matches their best start since the 2022-23 season, with Lancaster Bible currently sitting atop the United East Conference at 4-0.
Rachel Nolt moved into ninth in program history in career rebounds with 556, passing Lauren Heliger (2009-13) and leading the team this season with 128 total rebounds. Nolt also became just the 16th player in program history to make 60 career 3-pointers, tying her for 14th all-time with Sydney Heller (2021-23) and
Hope Hodges (2018-22).
