Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Mark Rowles

Men’s Soccer Falls at Penn College

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team headed out to Williamsport, Pa. for a road United East match against Penn College on Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 2-0. The Chargers drop to 3-7-1 overall and 1-1 in the United East while the Wildcats improve to 6-3-3 overall and 3-0 in the United East.

How it Happened:
The Chargers had early momentum as both Riley Bills (Fr.) and Ruben Reyes (So.) had shots on goal in the first 10 minutes, holding Penn College without a shot for almost 30 minutes. The Wildcats then began to control possession as they drew three corners with three shots, the third connecting off a corner assist for the opening goal of the game in the 34th minute to put the Chargers in a 1-0 hole. On a corner kick in the final two minutes, Andre Ramos (Fr.) had a shot that missed high as the Chargers trailed heading into the half.

After two early corner kicks by the Wildcats, the Chargers headed on offense as Gabe Bormolini (Fr.) put a shot on goal that was saved. Penn College, however, flipped the field in a hurry as they went down and scored their second goal of the game to extend their lead. Both Bills and Silas Dellaperute (Jr.) had shots on goal later in the half, but the Chargers could not find the back of the net as they went on to lose by two on the road in conference play.
