The United East Conference released their weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, with the Chargers earning one honor as Men's Volleyball senior
Nicholas Marion was named Defensive Player of the Week for his performance. This is Marion's second weekly honor of the season and the third of his career.

Marion led the Chargers' defensive effort this week as he totaled 28 digs across three matches for 2.80 digs/set. Nicholas began the week with 11 digs against #8-ranked Messiah at home on Tuesday night as the Chargers fell to the Falcons in four sets, adding three assists in the match as well. Then he ended the week on Saturday with another 11 digs in a three-set sweep of Geneva (Pa.) on the road, with his third performance being a six-dig effort in a loss to Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday as well. Marion leads the United East Conference in total digs with 113 and is fourth in the conference in digs per set at 2.90, reaching 10+ digs in eight out of 11 matches so far this year for the Chargers.

Marion and the Chargers have two matches on the docket this week as they travel to face Elizabethtown on the road on Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m., then begin a long home-stand on Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. as they host (RV) Randolph-Macon in the Horst Athletic Center.
