The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team hosted their final regular season home game on Tuesday night against Notre Dame (Md.), using an early surge to earn a 67-53 victory. The Chargers improve to 9-15 overall and 7-5 in the United East while the Gators drop to 12-10 overall and 8-4 in the United East.

How it Happened:
The Chargers scored first as
Shania Stoltzfus (So.) drove for a layup, then after the Gators tied it up
Rachel Nolt (Jr.) drove for a score. Nolt,
Raven Hunter, and
Emily Wilson (Fr.) then powered a huge run for the Chargers as they held the Gators scoreless for almost nine minutes of game time. The Chargers forced eight Notre Dame (Md.) turnovers in the quarter as the Chargers scored 21 straight points, their longest scoring run of the season, holding the Gators to just two points as they led 23-2 after one quarter of play.

The Gators finally ended the run to start the second with a three before
Isabella Eufemia (Jr.) and Wilson scored on two straight possessions, with Wilson drawing the foul for a three-point play. Hunter and Wilson continued the scoring, with Hunter giving the Chargers their largest lead of the game at 27 points on a layup. The Gators scored the final four of the half with the Chargers holding a 23-point lead at halftime at 40-17.

The Chargers struggled to open the third quarter as the Gators opened on a 7-0 run with the run ending over four minutes into the period on a pair of Eufemia free throws. Wilson then knocked down a three and Hunter had a free throw for a six-point run, with Nolt hitting a jumper to get the lead back to 21. Eufemia added another layup as the Chargers led 50-32 entering the final quarter.

Eufemia and Wilson each had scores early in the fourth to keep the lead at 20 points, then the Gators dropped it to 15 within the next two minutes. Hunter and
Emma Christner (Fr.) each hit free throws to keep the lead, but Notre Dame (Md.) continued to push as they pulled within 11 with about two minutes remaining. The Chargers closed it from there on free throws as they sealed a 67-53 home victory over the Gators for United East win #7 on the year.

Information to Know:
The Chargers are now 3-2 all-time against Notre Dame (Md.) with this being their first win over the Gators since 2011. The Chargers have secured a winning record in conference play for the first time since the 2022-23 season at 7-5 with one game remaining.
Rachel Nolt surpassed 800 career points in tonight's game and now ranks 22nd in program history in scoring with 815 points.
