The Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball team traveled to take on Wilson in conference play on Wednesday night, falling by a score of 76-67. The Chargers drop to 8-15 overall and 6-5 in the United East while the Phoenix improve to 13-9 overall and 6-4 in the United East.

How it Happened:
The Chargers struck first as
Emily Wilson (Fr.) made a layup over two minutes into the game, then the teams settled in as
Isabella Eufemia (Jr.) made a shot to put LBC up 6-2. Later in the quarter,
Raven Hunter (Sr.) hit a pair of shots to put the Chargers up 14-9, then
Emma Christner (Fr.) scored to keep the lead at five. Wilson added two in the final moments as the Chargers led by four after one quarter of play.

With the deficit still at four three minutes into the second, four total LBC free throws gave the Chargers their largest lead of the game at eight points. The Phoenix went on a six-point run later in the quarter to tie the game at 27-27 before
Rachel Nolt (Jr.) got LBC the lead back before halftime on a jumper for a two-point halftime lead.

Wilson began the third quarter with a 9-0 scoring run to swing in front by seven points before
Nikki Diehl (Fr.) ended the run on a jump shot. The Chargers then pulled back within three at 40-37 after Eufemia scored five in a row on her own, then Wilson got the lead back to eight before Diehl cut into it with a made 3-pointer. The Phoenix added another bucket as time expired in the third to take a 47-40 lead into the final period.

Christner began the fourth with a score to make it a five-point game, then Wilson exploded over the next two minutes for a 10-point burst to lead by 15 points before a jumper from
Shania Stoltzfus (So.) ended the run.
Emily Wilson knocked down a three to cut the lead to 10, then another pair of threes by Diehl later on made it an seven-point game at 65-58 with less than three minutes to go. With 34-seconds left, Stoltzfus knocked down a three to cut it to four, but good free throw shooting down the stretch by the Phoenix helped them close out the Chargers by nine at home.

Information to Know:
This was the Chargers' first-ever loss against Wilson in 15 matchups and their fifth conference loss in their last six games after beginning United East play at 5-0.
