Men’s Basketball Falls in NCCAA Mideast Final

The #1-seed Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team fell to #2-seed and host Ohio Christian 106-87 in the NCCAA Mideast Regional Final in Circleville, Ohio. The Chargers move to 20-8 this season while the Trailblazers improve to 27-3 overall and qualify for the NCCAA National Championships.

How it Happened:
Connor Storr (Jr.) got the Chargers started with a layup, then Ohio Christian scored the next seven to grab an early lead. Camden Hurst (Jr.) ended the run with a score, then later on Reaves Hooks (Sr.) knocked down a 3-pointer as the Chargers trailed by nine. Hurst and Storr each added buckets, but the Trailblazers got their lead up to 20 points with about nine minutes to go in the half. Jacob Lewis (Fr.) made a three later on and Doug Adiok (So.) made a layup in the paint, but the Chargers trailed 59-35 at halftime on the road.

Daniel King (Jr.) started the second half with a layup, then the Trailblazers continued to extend their lead as they got up to 30 points ahead, then Tyshaun Pulley (Sr.) hit a three then Hurst and Lewis added scores to keep the Chargers going. Storr and Bennett Bowers (So.) each hit threes as the Chargers tried to come back, with Lewis, Hurst, and Storr keeping the pace up with made buckets. The Chargers got within 19 points, but that was the deficit as the clock hit zeroes and their season came to a close one win short of a NCCAA Regional title.

- The Chargers shot 48-percent from the floor, 33-percent from 3-point range, and shot 68-percent from the free throw line

Information to Know:
The Chargers are now 0-2 all-time against Ohio Christian since at least 2006. This was the first time this season that an opponent scored over 100 points against Lancaster Bible and the first time since last year's Mideast Regional Semifinal against Alice Lloyd (Ky.) that went to overtime at 107-103. A pair of milestones were reached in today's game as Connor Storr surpassed 1,000 career points and Camden Hurst scored his 1,000th point at the Division III level with the Chargers. Storr becomes the 27th player in program history to surpass the 1,000-point milestone while Hurst ranks 23rd all-time with 1,074 career points. Hurst's 591 total points this season are the second-most in a single season in LBC's NCAA Division III history and the sixth-most single-season points all time.

Up Next:
The Chargers will await the possibility of an at-large selection to the NCCAA Division I National Championship, soon to be announced by the NCCAA. If not, this marks the conclusion of the 2025-26 season for the Chargers.
