Baseball Tallies Four United East All-Conference Selections

The United East Conference announced their Baseball All-Conference and Major Award winners for the 2026 season on Wednesday morning, with Lancaster Bible earning four selections to the All-Conference teams. The Chargers landed two First Team selections in junior Shane Stephan and senior Dylan Witkowski as well as a pair of Second Team selections in senior Evan Sareyka and sophomore Donavan Boles. This is the third time this decade that the Chargers have had at least four All-Conference selections and this year's release features two first-timers in Stephan (Jr.) and Boles (So.).

Shane Stephan lands First Team honors for his first career All-Conference selection as a middle infielder, starting all 40 games at Shortstop for the Chargers this season. He hit for a .331 batting average with a career-high 52 hits this season, totaling 14 multi-hit games including a season-high four hits in a road win over Wilson on April 1. Shane had 14 hits for extra bases including four triples, tied for the most on the team and tied for second in the United East. Stephan drew 26 total walks for the second-most on the team and was one of three Chargers with 20+ stolen bases this year, leading the Chargers in total sacrifices with eight sac hits and seven sac flies. On defense, Shane had the most assists on the team with 140 in total, helping turn 15 total double plays with 58 putouts as well.

Dylan Witkowski notches his third career First Team selection and fourth All-Conference honor in four seasons, leading the Chargers in ten different offensive categories as he started all 40 games this year. Dylan finished with the best batting average in the United East, batting .460 through 40 games and also leading the conference in OPS at 1.421, the highest single-season OPS for the Chargers since Justin Taylor in 2016. Witkowski tied the program hits record for a season with 69 this year and set a new program record with 66 total runs scored this year. Dylan had 31 total extra-base hits, leading the team in doubles (15), triples (4), and home runs (12), including six total home runs during the postseason in LBC's seven games. He ends his season ranked 11th in NCAA Division III in batting average and eighth in the nation in on-base percentage at .568. Dylan ends his four years as a Charger as the program's all-time hits leader with 233 in total with 157 career RBI and 33 total home runs.

Evan Sareyka earned his third career All-Conference honor and second career Second Team selection as an outfielder as he led the Chargers with 161 total at-bats with a .354 batting average. He finished with an OPS of 1.007 and 19 total extra-base hits, including nine doubles and seven home runs with 48 RBI, ranking second on the team and sixth in the United East. Evan had 17 games with multiple hits with four 3-hit games, leading the Chargers this season with 27 total stolen bases for the second-highest total in the conference. His 57 total hits and 50 total runs scored were both second on the team and he also drew 20 total walks for a .429 on-base percentage, the third-best mark on the team. He also pitched well for the Chargers this season with 38.0 innings and a 5.68 ERA, picking up a team-best five wins with two saves and a team-best 32 strikeouts. Sareyka ends his career with the Chargers with 196 career hits and 31 home runs, driving in 161 total RBI.

Donavan Boles garnered his first career All-Conference selection with Second Team honors this year, excelling in conference play as he led the team with a .509 batting average with an astounding 1.451 OPS in United East games. Donavan had 19 total extra-base hits this season with 13 double and six home runs, with 14 of his XBHs coming in conference action. On the season, Boles hit for a .410 average and 1.129 OPS, both second on the team and both top-5 marks in the United East. He was a Corner Infield selection for All-Conference as he played 1st Base for the Chargers, leading the team with 210 total putouts and contributing to 10 total double plays this year. Boles was named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week on April 20 after batting .714 on 10-14 from the plate with five extra-base hits and an OPS of almost 2.000 in three games.
