Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Mark Rowles

Chargers Bested at Home by Dutchmen

The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team hosted Lebanon Valley in a non-conference match on Friday night, falling by a score of 2-0. The Chargers drop to 0-2 overall while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 2-0 overall.

How it Happened:
Lebanon Valley had a shot in the first minute that was saved by Micah Dressler (So.), then the Chargers drew a corner kick as Jacob Melleby (Fr.) had a shot that missed wide. The Flying Dutchmen then gained momentum as they forced another Dressler save before connected on the game's first goal just over 15 minutes in to take the lead on the road. The teams went back and forth throughout the remainder of the first half with Chargers heading into halftime facing a 1-0 deficit for the second straight game.

The early portion of the second half was balanced in possession until the 60-minute mark where Lebanon Valley put together a run that resulted in a strong shot for a goal, increasing their lead to 2-0 over LBC. The Flying Dutchmen continued to take shots and keep the Charger defense on its toes, earning a pair of corner kicks late as they pushed to a road victory.
