2024: Alyssa Hamilton started 35 games for the Chargers as a senior with a .303 batting average and a team-best 13 doubles. She finished tied for third in the conference in doubles and her program-record six home runs were good enough for second in the United East. Hamilton recorded her first career multi-homer game on April 7 with two blasts in a 14-6 home win over Gallaudet. As a pitcher, Alyssa threw in 22 games with 17 starts, finishing with a 7-8 record and a 5.85 ERA with 22 strikeouts. Hamilton was named to the United East All-Conference 2nd Team for the third straight year, also earning a NCCAA Midwest Region Honorable Mention to cap off her career. Hamilton finished her three-year tenure with the Chargers with a .345 average and 125 hits, including 45 doubles and nine home runs, and 340 innings pitched and 101 strikeouts with a 4.49 ERA. Alyssa also holds three single-season program records for the Chargers, including at-bats (
131, 2022), doubles (
19, 2022) and home runs (
6, 2024).
2023: Hamilton was once again a key aspect of the LBC team in 2023, starting all 36 games in the lineup. She posted a .333 average with 41 hits and led the team with 13 doubles, tied for 6th in the conference. She drew a team-high 18 walks and drove in 15 RBIs, holding down the leadoff spot well for the Chargers. In the circle, Hamilton pitched 123.0 innings and posted a 3.76 ERA in 22 appearances. She threw 17 complete games with a 6-11 record and struck out 42 hitters, walking only seven for a 6:1 K/BB ratio. Hamilton wrapped up the season with a selection to the United East All-Conference 2nd Team and was also named to the NFCA All-Region 3rd Team for the first time. Alyssa was also recognized for her academic performance as she was named an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete in August.
2022: Alyssa Hamilton had an outstanding first season for the Chargers, starting all 40 games. At the plate, she posted a .389 batting average and a 1.040 OPS in a team-high 131 at-bats. Her team-high 19 doubles set a program record, and she also had 51 hits, which, along with Phoebe Clemens, tied the single-season hits record. She also launched two home runs, two triples, drew nine walks, and stole four bases. Hamilton was also LBC's #1 option on the mound in 2022, pitching 129.2 innings, the third-most in the United East. She posted a 5.48 ERA and a 9-10 overall record, throwing the third-most complete games in the conference with 18. She struck out 37 batters and gave up just one home run the whole season, with an opponent batting avg of .321. To cap off her incredible season, Hamilton was named to the United East All-Conference 2nd Team.
