2023: James Toney played in 36 games during his senior season, making 33 starts and anchoring the 1st base position. He showed off his power at the plate with a team-high 13 home runs, posting an OPS of 1.115 and a .286 batting average with 30 hits, all career-highs. He also set career marks with 33 RBI, 31 runs scored, a .686 slugging %, and 24 walks. Toney's most impressive showing of 2023 came on April 24 at home against Rosemont where he set a program record, smashing four home runs in a single game. He finished the game 5-6 with two solo shots, a 3-run blast, and a grand slam in the 1st inning, adding an RBI-single for a total of 10 RBI for the game, making him the only player in the United East this season to reach 10 RBI in a game.
2022: Toney appeared in 25 contests for the Chargers in 2022, starting 17 times. He hit for a .246 average at the plate with 14 base hits, with three doubles and two home runs. He hit is first career home run in a 12-5 win over Rosemont on March 5, hitting a pair of them in the 4th and 7th innings. Toney also pitched six times for Lancaster Bible, throwing 7.0 innings with an ERA of 3.86.
