2023: Tanner Shertzer anchored the Lancaster Bible defense as a senior, making the switch to libero and playing 30 of LBC's 31 games. Shertzer led the CSAC in digs with 264 and was third in digs/set at 2.40, reaching 10+ digs in 13 matches. He recorded a career-high with 19 digs on February 1 in a five-set road win over Stevenson. Tanner also tallied 56 assists and five service aces on offense, with a reception percentage of .945 to add to his defensive prowess. Shertzer finished his Charger career with a 1st Team All-Conference Selection and two CSAC Defensive Player of the Week Awards, celebrating a conference championship as well.
2022: Shertzer was an important piece of the 2022 Chargers unit, starting all 27 contests. He commanded the distribution on offense, dishing out an astounding 860 assists, which was in the top-20 assist totals in all of NCAA Division III. He also led the team with 22 service aces, including six matches with multiple aces. Shertzer dug up 142 balls on defense and got in on 27 total blocks, two of them being solo blocks. Tanner registered a career-high 52 assists in a five-set win over Webber International on January 14, which is tied for the 5th-highest single game assist total in Lancaster Bible history.
2021: Tanner Shertzer played in 15 matches for Lancaster Bible during the 2021 season. He finished second on the team with 51 assists and also landed five service aces. Defensively, Shertzer led all LBC players with 128 digs, the only one to reach 100+ digs in 2021. Tanner had a season-high 19 assists in the Chargers' 3-0 home win over Wilson on February 26 in addition to seven digs and four service aces.
2020: Shertzer appeared in five matches during his first season with the Chargers. He had a season-best four assists in a win over Wilson on February 8.
