2022-23: Were played in all 24 games as a freshman and started four times for the Chargers. She improved throughout the season and stepped up on the boards when teammate Jade Eshelman went down with an injury, grabbing 176 total rebounds including 70 offensive boards. Were finished 8th in the United East with 7.3 rebounds per game and recorded 10+ rebounds six different times, which led the Chargers. She also scored 160 points and dished 12 assists for Lancaster Bible in 2022-23, shooting 45.9% from the floor and 73.3% from the free throw line. Irene's most dominant game came in a home win over Wells College on January 21 where she set season-highs with 19 points and 18 rebounds, also recording two assists, three steals and a blocked shot.
