Julie Brubaker was named the 12th head coach in Lancaster Bible Women’s Volleyball history on September 15, 2020. Brubaker was the head coach at Cairn University, where she coached from 2004-08, and again in 2010, and was also in charge of the men's program for a few years as well. Brubaker also had a head coaching stint at NAIA Hannibal-LaGrange in 2011-12. In her six seasons at the helm of the Highlanders in Langhorne, Pa., Brubaker compiled a record of 135-81 (.625), including the 2007 season when Cairn went 30-9, won the NEAC Championship, and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
Since returning to Lancaster with her husband Jade and their children in 2013, as Jade took over the Lancaster Bible Men's Volleyball program, Brubaker has served as an assistant coach to three different head coaches here at Lancaster Bible. In her three seasons at the helm, Brubaker has posted 47 total wins and led the Chargers to back-to-back postseason appearances ('22, '23).

Season-by-Season Highlights
2020: The 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2021: The Chargers returned to the floor in 2021 and the team got off to a strong going 2-2 in the Bob Jones Labor Day Tournament. LBC picked up three straight wins at home to start the season, defeating McDaniel College for the first time in program history. The Chargers went 4-4 in United East play sweeping St. Mary’s and Wells in the final weekend for the season. LBC ended the season in a three-way tie with SUNY Morrisville and St. Mary's for the final playoff spot. The Chargers dropped the tiebreaker based on set winning percentage.
2022: Head coach Julie Brubaker and her women’s volleyball team saw great improvement with an 18-12 overall finish. After losing their first five games in the 2022 campaign, the Chargers pulled things together after winning their first eight games in the month of October. Due to this massive run and another three-game win streak to finish the regular season, Coach Brubaker and the squad finished 5-3 in the United East Conference, which gave them the last spot in the United East Conference Playoffs. The four-seeded Chargers ultimately fell to one-seeded SUNY Morrisville, but the team has a hopeful future ahead of them. To top off Brubaker’s third season as head coach for the Chargers, she had three of her players named to All-Conference teams.
2023: Brubaker and squad posted another 18-win season, finishing 18-11 overall and a 5-1 United East Conference record. The Chargers made their second-straight appearance in the conference playoffs, beating four-seed Penn St. Harrisburg, 3-2, in the Volt Division Semifinal before falling to conference champion Gallaudet, 3-0 in the Volt Division Final. Four student-athletes earned All-Conference honors with Leah Helman, Chloe King, and Morgan Fenstermacher earning First Team and Madeline Reed being named to the Second Team. Helman was the United East Defensive Player of the Year for the Volt Division and an NCCAA Midwest All-Region selection, and King earned the United East Senior Scholar Award for the fall season.
