This is Curtis' first year at the helm of Lancaster Bible College athletics. Curtis joined the Chargers from Dallas, Texas where he served as the Associate Director of Athletics at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) for the past six years.Â
During his tenure at DBU, Curtis oversaw the day-to-day operations of the athletic department, including budget management, business operations, event and facility management, ticketing, and corporate sponsorships. He also acted as the sport administrator for Volleyball, Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and DBU’s club sports.
Prior to his time at DBU, Curtis spent ten years as the Assistant Director of Athletics – Event Operations and Facilities at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. There, he managed student recreation and intramurals, supervised the campus fitness center, and played a key role in launching multiple sports programs. He also served as Chairman of the Wellness Committee, where he initiated several campus-wide wellness programs.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Curtis graduated from Clearwater Christian College in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Sport Management from Missouri Baptist University in 2010.
Curtis, his wife Ashley, and their three children—Blake, Zach, and Kaylee—will relocate to Lancaster this May. He will officially begin his full-time duties on May 27.
