Women’s Soccer Take 3rd in a Row

Lincoln University, PA- Lancaster Bible College's Women's Soccer team improved their record to 4-2 in a thriller today at Lincoln University. The Chargers' Becka Hixson (Coopersburg, PA) scored with 28 seconds remaining to lift the Chargers to an exciting 2-1 victory over Lions Thursday.

The teams played a scoreless first half, the Lancaster Bible broke the silence first when Kristina Clairmont (Dublin, PA) connected in the 65th minute unassisted. Lincoln responded 14 minutes later when Shaynita Blanchard converted a penalty kick to tie the game. The game remained 1-1 until the 90th minute when the Chargers' Becka Hixson was able to convert Jenna Godwin's well placed corner kick into the winning goal.

Lancaster Bible out shot Lincoln 28-10 in the victory. Charger goalie Kirsten Shoemaker made three saves. Lancaster Bible improved to 8-0-1 all-time against Lincoln.

The Chargers host SUNY Maritime Saturday the 13th at 3:00pm in hopes of four in a row.
