Stage Set for Women’s Soccer Semifinal Match

The #5-seed Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team secured a spot in the United East Final Four with their road victory on Saturday against #4-seed Penn St. Berks, the first-ever playoff victory for head coach Seth Lehman (2nd season | 17-14-2) at Lancaster Bible. This sets up the Chargers for a United East Semifinal matchup on the road on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. against #2-seed Penn St. Harrisburg as they battle for a spot in the conference title game.

Quarterfinal Recap
Saturday's United East Quarterfinal was an instant classic as the #5-seed Chargers went on the road to battle the #4-seed Lions in Reading, Pa. Goalkeeper Saige Santa Cruz (Jr.) made three big saves in the first half as the Lions controlled possession, holding Lancaster Bible without a shot attempt through the first 45 minutes as they struggled to generate offense to back up the great LBC defense. After a few wide shots by the Chargers early in the second half, Santa Cruz made another save and tossed it out to flip the field to the offensive side. Isabella Eufemia (Sr.) took the ball up the right side and launched a pass into the box where Rayanna Wagaman (Fr.) was waiting, reaching out with the right foot and delivering a shot to the low left corner to open it up for LBC with a 1-0 lead in the 69th minute. The Chargers locked up the goal as they prevented the Lions from shooting in the final 20 minutes, holding on to secure their first-ever road playoff win and a trip to the conference Semifinals.

Previous Matchup (2026)
The Chargers and Lions faced off on October 17 as Lancaster Bible hosted Penn St. Harrisburg in a battle of conference unbeatens, falling by a score of 4-0 at home to Penn St. Harrisburg for their first UEC loss of the year. Harrisburg outshot the Chargers 7-1 in the first 30 minutes with six saves by Santa Cruz holding them off, but the Lions broke through with two goals in a two-minute span to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Harrisburg built on their lead less than 10 minutes into the second half with a third score, then made it a 4-0 game in the 66th minute as several shot attempts for the Chargers were denied down the stretch to hand them a loss.
