Lancaster, PA- Lancaster Bible College's Women's Soccer team improved their record to 5-2 with their third straight win Saturday. Four different Chargers scored in the 8-0 victory over SUNY Maritime.
It did not take Lancaster Bible long to convert their early offensive pressure into a score. Sophomore Becka Hixson (Coopersburg, PA) netted her first of three goals just 13 minutes into the game. The Chargers didn't let up adding two more goals from Hixson and a pair from junior Meredith Wrightson (Silver Spring, MD). Finally, freshman Jenna Godwin (Fairfax, VA) scored her first colligate goal upping the score to 6-0 at the half.
The Chargers continued to dominate and control the ball in the second half. Kristina Clairmont (Dublin, PA) scored the final two goals for the Chargers both early in the second half. The Chargers out shot the Privateers 32-3 for the game making easy work for Kirsten Shoemaker (Cochranville, PA) who recorded her fourth shutout.
The Chargers face a much stiffer test this Saturday, September 20th at home against Goucher.
