Chargers Drop Season Opener in Women's Soccer

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team lost to Lesley University 5-0 in their first game of the 2008 season. The Lynx were led with a hat trick from 2007 North Atlantic Conference Co-Player of the year Jodi Fralick along with a pair of goals from Emma Fogg.

Despite the losing effort, Coach Gale was encouraged by solid efforts at midfield by sophomore Becka Hixson (Coopersburg, PA) and freshman Jenna Godwin (Fairfax, VA). Coach noted another bright spot was freshman forward Kristina Clairmont (Dublin, PA) who had two excellent scoring chances, one of which hit the post and the other was saved off the goal line.

The Chargers look to rebound tomorrow Sunday August 31, 2008 against Regis College in Weston, MA at 12:30.
