"Our transition offense was much better today," Charger Head Coach
Pete Beers said. "We got great looks in the paint and took good shots."
Kevin Keltner was a perfect 5-for-5 on the day, finishing with 12 points, two assists and two rebounds. LBC's leading scorer
Madison Warfel was held without a field goal on the day, but others like
Derek Scott picked up the slack. Scott had 12 points, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
"It was nice to see
Derek Scott out there hitting 3's," Beers said. "He played well today."
Freshman
Keith Keltner continued his solid play, adding 11 points and six assists.
Caleb Graves and
Eric Nulf each added nine points for the Chargers (4-4).
"The team is learning they can play well together," Beers said. "Success takes care of itself when you do the right things."
With the win, LBC wraps up a week which saw them go 3-0 and defeat two of their rivals, PBU and Baptist Bible.
"The defensive effort is there and we have really played some good halves of basketball lately," Beers said. "This week is a good building block for the rest of the season."
The season continues Saturday when they travel to Reading to take on Albright.
"We have to get ready to go to work on Monday and prepare for next weekend," Beers said. "We definitely want to finish the semester strong."
