LBC (1-3) raced out to an 11-2 lead and never looked back. Senior
Carl Edwards had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Chargers, while freshman
Keith Keltner had nine points, seven rebounds and six assists to continue his hot start.
Chargers Head Coach
Pete Beers liked what he saw from his team on the defensive side of the court.
"I thought our spacing and rotations were really good on the defensive side as well as our intensity," Beers said. "We didn't shoot as well as we would have liked, but I thought we took good shots."
Taking 13 of those shots was Warfel who upped his points per game to 19.3. His four point play with 11:37 left to play put the Chargers ahead by 24 and broke the spirits of the Nittany Lions.
"Good things will happen when your best shooter is taking those types of shots," Beers said of Warfel's play. "He is just going to keep getting better."
Beers was also pleased with how is team responded, despite not playing for a week due to Thanksgiving break.
"I thought we played a more athletic team tonight in Penn State-York, so to come out, play hard and get the win is very exciting," Beers said.
For the game, the Chargers shot 42 percent, while limiting Penn State-York (1-6) to just 33 percent. LBC also forced 22 turnovers.
The Chargers are back in action on Saturday when they host Ferrum at 1:00 p.m.
