Coming off a disappointing loss on Friday, the Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team wanted to rebound quickly and defeat Hood Saturday. Playing as a team and getting a great defensive effort, the Chargers (6-2) shut down Hood and won 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Charger junior
Kevin Keltner opened the scoring midway through the first half. Junior
Kyle Zook and sophomore
Lawrence Lartey picked up assists on the play. The Chargers added to their lead with 20 minutes remaining in the match when sophomore
Cory Greiser scored off a pass from Lartey.
The Blazers (1-5) cut the lead in half five minutes later on a penalty kick by senior Quinn Miller.
"We did a lot of things today that we didn't do on Friday," Charger Head Coach Josh Beers said. "This was one of our better team outings as well."
LBC doesn't get much time to rest and will play their third game in four days on Monday when they host Valley Forge Christian at 5:00 p.m.
