With a Homecoming match looming with Baptist Bible on Saturday morning, the Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team didn't want to overlook their Thursday night competition, Hood College. 
Using a balance of offense and defense, the Chargers (5-9), stormed out to a 2-0 lead and hung on for a 3-1 victory over the Blazers. LBC won by scores of 25-18, 25-17, 24-26, 25-23.
Freshman 
Jenae Almas had 10 kills, seven digs and four aces in the win. Freshman 
Lauren Heliger added eight kills, eight digs and a team-high seven aces. Sophomore 
Elissa Hunsberger chipped in with 13 assists, nine kills and eight digs.
LBC will host the Defenders at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning as part of the Homecoming festivities.
