The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team may have traveled 700 miles in two days, but the two wins they earned may go a long way in how their season turns out. The Chargers got goals from junior
Zak Kraehmer and sophomore
Lawrence Lartey to defeat Baptist Bible 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Clarks Summit.
Sophomore goal keeper
Jake Kreider made four saves to preserve the victory for LBC (2-1).
"It's great to get two gritty wins on a long trip this weekend," Head Coach Josh Beers said. "This really sets us up for the rest of the season."
The Chargers out shot the Defenders 15-8, however BBC held the advantage in corners 9-4.
Kraehmer's goal came in the 30th minute on a pass from Lartey, his third assist of the season. Lartey's goal came 15 minutes into the second half on a pass from sophomore
Taylor Dooley.
"We controlled a lot of the play today," Beers said. "They (Baptist Bible) are a much improved team from last season and to get a win today was great."
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday when they will play their home opener against Delaware Valley at 5:00 p.m.
