The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team had to wait through a tough pre-season and another week of practice before it could play its first game of the season. Unfortunately for the Chargers, Goucher was ready for them. The Gophers jumped on the Chargers early and defeated LBC 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Towson, Md.

Goucher scored 30 seconds into the match and added two goals in the second half to spoil Head Coach Ken Craul's first match at LBC (0-1).

After the quick goal, the Chargers settled down and made the Gophers (1-1) play good defense and earn their two second half goals.

"I thought after those first couple of minutes we really played well and played them tough," Craul said.

LBC will host its first match of the season on Wednesday when they take on Lycoming at 3:00 p.m.
