Kristina Clairmont and
Whitney Heise each had two goals and an assist to lead the Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team past Trinity College [Wash. D.C.], 4-1 on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
The Chargers controlled play for almost the entire game and the experience was valuable according to Head Coach
Ken Craul.
"It was a good learning experience today," Craul said. "We needed to recognize where we needed to attack and when we need to simply possess the ball. It was a fairly one-sided game, so it was nice to be able to work the ball around in the second half."
Another thing the Chargers (11-5) were able to do was rest their starters for Thursday's game with Gallaudet.
"With a three-goal lead we were able to rest some legs for tomorrow, which is always nice," Craul said.
Hannah Reichard also picked up an assist for LBC.
Thursday will be Senior Day for the Chargers. Prior to the game with Gallaudet, LBC will honor its lone senior,
Becka Hixson.
LBC wraps up the regular season on Saturday when they face Hood in Fredrick, Md. at 3:00 p.m.
