Teams Will Meet for 5th Straight Postseason on Tuesday

For the fifth straight October, the Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team will take on Philadelphia Biblical University in the NCCAA East Region Semi-Finals. This year's edition will be held in Lancaster for the first time as the Chargers host their first playoff game since the 2004 NCCAA East Region Final when they lost to Baptist Bible, 4-3.

The Crimson Eagles have won the previous four meetings in the playoffs between the two teams, but for the first time since 2004, the Chargers beat the Crimson Eagles in the regular season. LBC won the only meeting in the regular season, 4-1 in Langhorne, Pa. for their first ever road win against PBU.

Some other facts and figures in preparation for tomorrow's playoff tilt.

-PBU has scored just 20 goals this season in 17 games, while the Chargers have scored 50 in 18 games.

-LBC has given up 29 goals, while the Crimson Eagles have allowed 60.

-The Chargers have given up seven goals in the past five games, while PBU has given up 24.

-PBU is led by Kathleen Meacham who leads the team with eight goals and 18 points.

-LBC is led by Whitney Heise who leads the team with 12 goals, 32 points and 81 shots.

-The Chargers' win in September snapped a nine-game winless streak against PBU.

-The winner of Tuesday's game will meet the winner of the semi-final between #1 seed Baptist Bible and #4 seed Valley Forge Christian.

-Those attending the game will have to pay admission due to the fact it is an NCCAA playoff game. LBC students will not have to pay, but other students attending the game will be charged, $3.00. Adults attending will be charged, $5.00.
