Coming off one of the biggest wins in recent program history, one might have been a little worried about the performance of the Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team on Friday night at Davis College. No need to worry, they took care of business.
Led by senior
Carl Edwards and sophomore
Madison Warfel, the Chargers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they crushed the Falcons, 99-54.
Edwards had 21 points, while Warfel had 20 points to pace the visiting Chargers.
"Carl and Madison were huge for us tonight," Charger Head Coach
Pete Beers said.
Not only were the 99 points a high for the season, but the Chargers also stifled the Falcons on the defensive side of the floor as well, holding them without a point during an eight minute stretch early in the second half.
"Our defense was really strong tonight and everyone played really well on that side of the floor tonight," Beers said. "Just a very strong overall game."
Keith Keltner and #T.J. Connor# each added 11 points for LBC (10-11). The Chargers have won four of their last five games, and will look to avenge one of their losses on Monday when they host Mount Aloysius at 8:00 p.m. The Mounties defeated the Chargers, 83-68 on January 11 in Cresson, Pa.
"We are looking forward to Monday night," Beers said.
