The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team opened its modified spring schedule on Sunday with a loss to Juniata, 9-0.
The Chargers, who will play four matches this spring, played well in all three doubles' matches, but could not overcome a strong Juniata squad.
Kayla Scott and
Becky Griffes lost to Hilary Walsh and Rachel Adams, 8-2, in their doubles match.
LBC's
Rachel Schmuck played her first collegiate tennis match, falling in number three singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Brianna Funk played number one singles for LBC and lost 6-2, 6-0 to Juniata's top player, Katie Healy.
The Chargers are back in action on March 31, when they travel to Dover, Delaware to take on Wesley at 3:00 p.m.
