The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team got back into the win column on Tuesday, defeating Penn State-Harrisburg, 8-1 in Middletown, Pa.
Five LBC players recorded doubles and singles victories for the Chargers (3-2).
Nicole Karschner won her flight one singles match, 6-2, 6-0 after winning with partner
Bri Funk at flight one doubles, 8-2.
The doubles team of
Carolyn Kensinger and
Rachel Schmuck won their flight two doubles match, 8-3, while
Michelle Ringler and
Kelsey Scott won at flight three doubles, 8-0.
"The doubles teams played well today," LBC Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "There are still some things to address, but overall I thought they played much better than we did on Monday at Bryn Mawr."
Ringler extended her singles winning streak to four with her, 6-0, 6-0, triumph at flight five singles. She has yet to lose this season in singles.
"Michelle is playing well right now," Freeman said. "She has somewhat of an unorthadox style, but it works for her and she makes her opponent make mistakes."
The women return to the court on Saturday when they face Catholic University at 3:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
