The Catholic University women's tennis team jumped all over LBC on Saturday and won easily, 8-1.
The Chargers'
Nicole Karschner had the lone win for LBC, winning her flight one singles match over Caitlin Porter, 6-3, 6-0. The win moves Karschner's singles record to 3-3 for the year.
"Not too much went right today for us," LBC Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "We did not play well during doubles and when we have not done that this season, it has usually spelled doom."
Kayla Scott lost her flight six singles match, 2-6, 7-5, (10-8). Though she lost, it was one of her better matches of the season.
"Kayla played well for a lot of the match today, but simply needs to learn how to finish matches," Freeman said. "She came to the net today and played a lot more offense during the point then she normally does."
LBC is back on the court on Tuesday when they host their first match of the season. The Chargers will take on Immaculata at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. at 3:00 p.m.
