Chargers Match Program-Record with 8th Straight Win

The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team tied the all-time mark of eight straight wins on Friday, defeating Wilson College, 6-0. The Chargers scored three times in each half to run their record to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in NEAC play.

Ally Brown scored twice, including her fourth game winning goal of the season, and added an assist to pace LBC. Whitney Heise, Evelyn Stauffer, Sarah Heilenman and Amanda Bracelin also scored for the Chargers. Freshman Monica Horning added two assists.

Emily Lloyd recorded her fourth straight shutout and sixth this season. She has not allowed a goal in 393 minutes.

"We worked on ball possession and distribution today," LBC Head Coach Ken Craul said. "We had good possession and it was nice to have everyone in the game at some point to work on things."

The Chargers will host NEAC foe Wells College on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Notes:
-Brown has nine goals in nine games this season, she had 10 last season in 23 games.

-The only other LBC women's soccer team to win eight straight games was in 2004. That team finished 16-6 and finished third at the NCCAA National Tournament. They were 4-2 when the streak started and 12-3 when the streak ended.

-In five NEAC games, LBC has outscored its opponents, 23-1.
