Chargers Fall in UW-Platteville Consolation Game

Box Score The Lancaster Bible men's basketball team lost its third straight game on Sunday, falling to MacMurray, 75-65 in the Consolation Game of the Wisconsin-Platteville Thanksgiving Classic.

LBC sophomores Corey Leonard and Jon Bird each had 14 points for the Chargers who fell to 0-3 this season. Head Coach Marshall Tague thought the Chargers played better on Sunday than in their first two games, but slow starts at the beginning of each half cost them against MacMurray.

"We played well in the middle and towards the end of each half, but we came out slow in the first and second half and they took advantage," Tague said.

Senior Keith Keltner added nine points and six rebounds, while fellow senior Dan Karl had eight points.

Tague said the team did a good job of getting the ball into the post to help create scoring chances.

"We were able to get some great play from Corey and Jon in the post today," Tague said. "Our guards did a nice job of getting them the ball and we were able to convert some easy buckets."

LBC's home opener is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when the Chargers host Rosemont.

Notes:
-This is the third time in last four seasons that the Chargers have started the season, 0-3.
