Box Score For the second straight game, the Lancaster Bible baseball team couldn't prevent its opponent from scoring runs in bunches as the Chargers fell, 14-0 to Immaculata in Immaculata, Pa.
The Mighty Macs (3-5) scored seven runs in the first inning and tacked on six more in the second and cruised to their third win of the season. Billy Gaines had two hits and five RBI as four other Immaculata players also had two hits as well.
Micah McClay and
Caleb Mayer had LBC's two hits, while
Richard Westerlund and
Brian Taliercio each drew two walks.
After Westerlund was roughed up in his 1 2/3 innings, fellow senior
Justin Long pitched well in relief as he allowed just two hits and one run in 3 1/3 innings.
Frankie Herr pitched a scoreless sixth inning as well for LBC.
The Chargers (0-4) will head to Tennessee for spring break on Sunday and take on Tennessee Temple on Monday afternoon in Chattanooga, Tenn. at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
