The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team dropped its fifth straight match on Wednesday, falling to Penn St. Berks, 8-1. The Chargers lone point came from the number one doubles team of
Carmin Nachtigal and
Kayla Nachtigal.
The sisters-in-law defeated Crystal Hitz and Elizabeth Kehm, 8-1 at first doubles, but that was the lone bright spot of the day for LBC as the Nittany Lions (6-3, 3-0 NEAC) dominated the match.
Carmin Nachtigal lost to Hitz in number one singles, 6-2, 6-1, while
Kacie Scott lost to Sam Warga, 6-3, 6-1 at number three singles.
The Chargers (1-6, 0-3 NEAC) return to the court on Thursday when they host Penn St. Harrisburg at 3 p.m. at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. LBC will honor its three seniors (men & women) prior to the match.
