The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team concluded the North Eastern Athletic Conference portion of its schedule on Friday and Saturday as they lost to Penn St. Abington on Friday, 8-1, but came back to defeat St. Elizabeth, 6-3 on Saturday.
On Friday,
Carmin Nachtigal earned LBC's only point as she came back and won her number one singles match over Jenny Abraham, 3-6, 6-3, 11-9. The loss dropped the Chargers to 2-8 overall and 0-5 in NEAC play, but Saturday was a different story as LBC won every match they participated in.
Because they only brought four players, the Chargers had to forfeit number five and number six singles and number three doubles. However, that didn't phase the Chargers as they swept every other match in convincing fashion.
Carmin Nachtigal,
Kayla Nachtigal,
Kacie Scott and
Tiffany Wolf each won a singles and doubles match as the Chargers defeated St. Elizabeth, 6-3 in Morristown, N.J.
The win propels the Chargers into next weekend's NEAC Tournament when they will participate in the individual portion of the tournament.
Prior to the NEAC Tournament, the Chargers will conclude their regular season on Tuesday as they take on Albright in Reading, Pa. at 3:30 p.m.
