The Lancaster Bible women's tennis teams concluded its regular season on Tuesday as they lost to Albright, 9-0 in Reading, Pa.
It was a rough finale for the LBC women's team as they were shut out not only in the overall score, but in almost every match as well. The number one doubles team of
Carmin Nachtigal and
Kayla Nachtigal earned the Chargers' lone point as they lost, 8-1. The Chargers had just five players and thus had to forfeit number six singles and number three doubles.
LBC ends the season with an overall record of 3-10 and a 1-6 mark in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.
Kayla Nachtigal will be the lone representative for the women's team at the NEAC Championships this weekend.
Nachtigal will be the fourth seed in the number two singles tournament. Her first match will be Sunday morning at the Birchwood Tennis Club in Clarks Summit, Pa. She will take on top-seeded Theodora Avramidis from Penn St. Harrisburg in her opening match. Nachtigal lost to Avramidis, 6-3, 6-1 earlier this season.
