The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team lost its second straight close match on Friday, falling to Keuka, 5-4 a day after losing to Bryn Athyn, 6-3. In each team's North Eastern Athletic Conference opener, the Storm took two of the three doubles matches and the teams split the singles matches.
Carmin Nachtigal and
Kayla Nachtigal won their doubles match at number one doubles and went on to win their respective singles matches as well. Kayla cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number two singles, while Carmin won the match of the day as she battled back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Emily Knapsack, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 10-7.
Moriah Pelton earned the Chargers' other point as she won her number four singles match, 6-2, 6-0.
Lancaster Bible (1-4, 0-1 NEAC) is back in action, for the third straight day, on Saturday when they host Wells at 12 p.m. at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
