The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team played their first match of the spring on Wednesday and lost to Albright, 9-0 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
With plenty of fresh faces playing for the Chargers (1-1), the Lions took advantage of Lancaster Bible's youth and cruised to the win. Freshmen
Kayla Weaser and
Stephanie Blest were the only Lancaster Bible players to earn points during their matches as Weaser lost, 6-2, 6-0 and Blest lost an eight-game pro set, 8-1.
The talented Lions who are now 7-3 won the rest of the matches, 6-0, 6-0, except for the Chargers' Brianna Smith who lost, 8-0.
Prior to the singles matches, doubles didn't go much better as
Kacie Scott and Smith at number two doubles had the closest match and they lost, 8-2.
The Chargers are right back in action on Thursday as they travel to St. Davids, Pa. to take on Eastern at 3:30 p.m.
