The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team faced another tough squad on Thursday as they lost to Eastern, 9-0 in St. Davids, Pa.
For the second straight day, the Chargers could muster very few points as the Eagles won the doubles matches by 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3 scores.
Stephanie Blest and
Kayla Weaser lost 8-3 at number three doubles for the Chargers who dropped to 1-2 this season.
Brianne Smith dropped her opening set, 6-0, but played better in the second set in which she lost, 6-3. Blest dropped her number six singles match, 6-1, 6-1 to Eastern's Kathleen Duffy.
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Tuesday when they host Bryn Athyn at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
