The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team wrapped up North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Thursday with an 8-1 loss to Penn St. Abington in Abington, Pa.
Kayla Weaser picked up the lone win for the Chargers as she won her number five singles match over Abington's Honestee Sphabmixay, 6-3, 6-4. Lancaster Bible's
Anna Stefano lost a tough three-set match at number one singles as she fell to Honora Hegarty, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Brianne Smith also lost in three sets as she dropped her number four singles match, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 to Sheena Philip. Joining Stefano and Smith was
Julia Dariychuk who also lost a three-setter. Dariychuk lost her number two singles match to Olya Popili, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.
Lancaster Bible was scheduled to wrap-up its NEAC schedule on Friday, but Cazenovia was forced to forfeit due to injuries. Thus, Lancaster Bible will play its final regular season match on Monday when they host Trinity (D.C.) at 3:00 p.m. at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The NEAC playoffs will begin next weekend in Clarks Summit, Pa.
