Chargers Sweep Trinity (D.C.) in Regular Season Finale

The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team capped its best regular season since 2010 as they defeated Trinity (D.C.), 9-0 on Monday at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The Chargers finish the regular season with a record of 5-6, the best since the team finished 7-7 in 2010.

Monday's match was a breeze from the get-go as the three Lancaster Bible doubles teams combined to drop just one game. The Chargers' doubles teams won, 8-0, 8-1 and 8-0. Anna Stefano and Julia Dariychuk won easily at number one and two singles, while Kacie Scott, Brianne Smith, Kayla Weaser and Stephanie Blest each won their singles match, 6-0, 6-1.

Despite the 5-6 record, the Chargers finished just 2-4 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play and missed out on the team portion of the NEAC Tournament. However, two players advanced to the individual portion of the tournament. Dariychuk will be the fourth seed in the number three singles flight, while Weaser will be the third seed in the number five singles flight.
