Box Score The Lancaster Bible softball team kept its playoff hopes alive by defeating St. Elizabeth, 10-7 in game one of a doubleheader on Friday at Garrett Field in Willow Street, Pa. Game two was in the bottom of the second inning when it was suspended due to rain. A make-up time for the game has not been determined.
In game one, sophomore
Ali Morton was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two runs batted in to lead Lancaster Bible, while
Anna Harris was 2-for-3 with four runs batted in and a run scored. Freshman
Kelsey Collins also added two hits and scored twice as the Chargers won for the sixth straight time. Collins struck out nine batters in seven innings to earn her 10th win of the season.
The Chargers are back in action on Saturday when they host Penn St. Abington for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. Lancaster Bible will honor its five seniors between games one and two.
