The United East Conference Postseason has arrived as the Lancaster Bible College Softball team clinched the #4 seed in the tournament and home-field advantage in the Second Round of the playoffs. These will be the team's first official playoff games after making a Volt Play-In game two seasons ago, hosting playoff action on the Softball Field for the first time in program history. The Chargers will begin their postseason on Friday, May 1 as they take on #5-seed Penn St. Harrisburg in a best-of-3 series beginning at 3:00 p.m., with game two scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and a deciding game three (if necessary) on Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m.

Season Recap
The Chargers put together a historic regular season, achieving a record of 20-11 and setting a new program record for wins in a single season. The Chargers also collected a 13-3 United East record, their best finish in standings (4th) and in win percentage (.812) in program history and tying their most conference wins ever at 13. Lancaster Bible's best wins of the season came in Myrtle Beach, S.C. as they went 5-2 with victories over Mitchell, Covenant College (Ga.) and a comeback win over Lycoming, as well as road wins over both Franklin & Marshall in non-conference play and Wilson in United East action. The Chargers also went a perfect 8-0 at home in the regular season, earning sweeps over Keystone, Valley Forge, Cairn, and Penn St. Berks in conference action and defeating Berks for the first time since 2015. The Chargers have been led by a strong freshman class including
Ava Stern (Fr.), leading the Chargers with a .411 batting average on 44 hits and 14 extra-base hits. Stern leads the team and is tied for seventh in the conference in runs batted in with 34, the fourth-highest single-season RBI total in program history. She also is one of two pitchers for LBC this season, sporting an 8-6 record with a 4.31 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 87 2/3 innings pitched. Also leading the Chargers is
Kendall Jackman (Fr.), leading LBC with 21 total stolen bases and ranking fifth in the United East in steals. Jackman is also hitting .375 for the season with a team-high 12 walks and five hit-by-pitch for a team-best .465 on-base percentage, putting her in the top-20 in the United East. Other key contributors for the Chargers this season include
KariAnn Mecke (Jr.) with a .395 average, 18 RBI, and a team-high 169 putouts at first base on defense,
Keira Price (So.) with team highs of five home runs and .634 slugging, and starting pitcher
Maddison Atkins (Sr.) with a program-record 12 wins in the circle this season with a 3.50 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 104 innings.

The Chargers and Lions did not meet in the regular season in 2026, making this the first time Lancaster Bible takes on Penn St. Harrisburg this season.
