Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible softball team continued its strong play on Wednesday in Chambersburg, Pa. as they split a doubleheader with Wilson. The Chargers took game one, 8-6, but dropped game two, 12-0 in five innings.
Lancaster Bible stole game one as they managed just three hits, but were able to advance runners via the walk and smart base running. The Chargers trailed, 4-0 after three innings of play, but chopped the deficit in half in the fourth when runners advanced around the base paths via errors and passed balls. The Chargers scored twice more in the top of the fifth, but Wilson regained its two-run lead in the bottom half of the fifth inning.
Just like they had in the fourth and fifth, the Chargers used walks and errors to tie the game and take the lead. With the game tied 6-6,
Richelle Kane drew a bases loaded walk to give Lancaster Bible its first lead at 7-6 in the sixth inning and two batters later, senior Kathyrn Ritter drew a bases loaded walk as well to make the score 8-6. Freshman pitcher
Kelsey Collins sealed the deal in the seventh for her fifth win of the season as scattered nine hits and struck out five over seven innings of play.

Ally Brown had the three hits for the Chargers in game one. Ritter led with two runs batted in, while
Anna Harris and
Richelle Kane each scored twice.
Game two was all Wilson as they used a six-run third inning to blow the Chargers out, 12-0. Lancaster Bible managed just two hits in game two which gave them just five for the two games. Collins and Harris had the two hits for the Chargers who fell to 5-13 overall and 4-4 in NEAC play with the game two loss.
The Chargers return to the diamond on Friday when they travel to the Nation's Capital to face Gallaudet at 2 p.m. Lancaster Bible will host Wilson on Saturday at Garrett Field in Willow Street, Pa. Game one of Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
